Compact Actuator Base Houses Motor, Gear Train, and Heater — No Customer Servicing Required
Power Center
The Series 70 Hazardous actuator separates the control and power centers for optimal protection. The power center—located in the actuator base—houses the motor, gear train, capacitor, output drive, and heater, all designed for maintenance-free operation. Each component is configured to maintain the actuator’s low-profile design.
Self-Locking Output Drive
Features a self-locking worm and worm gear that securely holds valve position without electro-mechanical brakes.
Mechanical Travel Stops
Field-adjustable stainless steel travel stops prevent overtravel during manual use. Positioned externally for easy access, they include O-ring–sealed lock nuts and are factory-set for 0° and 90° travel.
Manual Override Handwheel
Pull to engage, rotate to position, push to return to power operation. The system allows quick, tool-free manual control, automatically cutting motor power when engaged. A ball detent secures the shaft during operation, while the drive pin ensures smooth engagement and disengagement.
